The Central Oklahoma Association of Legal Assistants was formed to supply a forum of communication, support, assistance and continuing education for Legal Assistants, as well as to establish requirements and recommendations for correct and powerful utilization of Legal Assistants by members of the Bar to offer a larger high quality of legal services at a decrease cost to the client. The regulation of legal assistants has been addressed by a lot of state legislatures, state bar association committees, and state supreme court process forces. Is pleased to announce that Nickie Stewart, a paralegal in the Industrial Litigation Division, was sworn in as the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) Liaison for the Gulf Coast Paralegal Association (GCPA). Legal assistants accompany attorneys to court and help in preparing exhibits, pleadings and other court submissions.
