Legal Solutions Corporation (LSC) is an independent nonprofit established by Congress in 1974 to provide economic support for civil legal aid to low-income Americans. In 1916, a young black lady who lived close to the small southeast Alabama town of Abbeville happened to have been in the house of a man the day he died. A current law passed by the Alabama legislature extends the time from five to ten years that property can be held by the Court.
